Christian Education Department II Timothy 2:15-16, Matthew 28:20
Mission Statement: Equipping the body of Christ for righteousness through sound biblical teaching, rebuking, correcting and training.
Christian Education Department is the teaching arm of the church to set forth structure and materials for teaching/training our children, youth, and adults. Christian Education Department facilitates the growth of the church spiritually, with new and innovative methods and materials for instruction. This includes Bible Study and Church School.
Youth Ministry I Timothy 4:12
Mission Statement: Teaching young saved souls to become fully devoted followers of Christ; to reach young lost souls thereby being ambassadors of Christ.
Youth Ministry is designed to lead our youth into a knowledgeable, spirit filled relationship with Christ, the church and the community. This ministry includes Junior Church (Junior Stewards, Trustee and Stewardess Boards), Y.P.D. (Young People’s Department), Bible Study, RAPP Sessions, T.A.L.I ( Talk And Live Initiative for girls 12 to 17), Youth Fun, Food and Fellowship Nights, and other activities. Also we have field trips which include Bowling, Amusement Parks, Lock-ins, and Ice Skating through the year.
Board of Stewards I Timothy 3:8-12
Mission Statement: Serving the body of Christ with sincerity and respect through teaching, wisdom and exhortation.
Stewards hold the highest office in the local church. They are appointed by the pastor and confirmed at the Quarterly Conference by the Presiding Elder of the District. They are in prayer for the pastor, care for the pastor’s support and living as well as they are the spiritually leaders of the church.
Class Leaders: At St. Paul, our Stewards are the Class Leaders as well as a few Lay members of the church who and are all appointed by the pastor. Class leaders seek out the spiritual needs of the church members. They also see that each member is supportive of the work and ministry of the church.
Addie M Smith Missionary Society Acts 20:35
Mission Statement: To participate in ministry beyond the church walls of St. Paul AME Church serving the community and partnering with agencies to provide needed services within community and beyond. Seek to encourage and motivate non-members of all ages to participate in mission work for Kingdom building.
Lay Organization Matthew 9:35-38
Mission Statement: To create a love and appreciation of the History and Principles of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and to keep the memory of Bishop Richard Allen alive.
- Stimulate and educate the Laity of the church in the total program of the church.
- Study the Discipline and learn the laws of the Church.
- Encourage Financial Support of the Church's Program.
- Teach and Practice Stewardship and work with the Youth to teach them about the rich history of this Zion.
These objectives can best be met when one works to understand the program of the church and how it relates to the church and the World around us. We must become involved in Social Actions in our church, our Community, our Jobs, our Schools, and everywhere that we assemble and carry the church and God.
